Meet Mrs. Villanueva

Hello Pirates!

My name is Stephanie Villanueva, but students know me as Mrs. V. I am so excited to continue serving as a school counselor here at Swansboro Middle School. It has been such a privilege getting to know our students and becoming part of this incredible school community. One of the highlights of my day is building relationships with students, learning about their goals, and supporting them as they grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to work with children in a variety of settings. While working at an elementary school in Hawaii, I discovered my passion for working in a school environment and advocating for students. Supporting students and helping them reach their full potential is what drives me every day. As a school counselor, my role is to support all students through their academic development, career exploration, and personal/social-emotional growth. I am honored to continue being part of the Swansboro Middle School team and look forward to another great year with our Pirates!

A little about me: I have been married to my husband for 20 years, and we have four children—Anthony (18), Phoenix (17), Jaxon (13), and Emilia (10). Because of my husband’s career, our family has had the opportunity to live in many different places across the United States. We have truly enjoyed the journey and the experiences that have brought us to where we are today.

Our family is deeply immersed in the Swansboro community, and we love being part of this amazing area. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going to the beach, shopping, and exploring new places together. I feel incredibly fortunate to call Swansboro home and to have the opportunity to support the students, families, and staff of Swansboro Middle School.
