Mrs. Jennifer Beninate

I am excited to join the Swansboro Middle School family as an Assistant Principal for the 2026–2027 school year.

I am a native of Eastern North Carolina and a proud Marine Corps spouse. My husband and I have two daughters who attend schools in the Swansboro community, making this opportunity especially meaningful for our family.

Over the past 18 years, I have had the privilege of serving students, families, and school communities as a teacher in North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Okinawa, Japan. I earned both my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from George Mason University.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about fostering strong partnerships among families, schools, and the community. I am committed to supporting student achievement, promoting a positive school culture, and ensuring an equitable and engaging educational experience for all learners.

I look forward to building relationships with students, staff, and families in the Swansboro Middle School community.
